William Street (off Oxford Street)
Look for a quirky little street off to your left as you head east along Oxford Street. This is William Street, a narrow lane with terrace houses, some still private residences but many the home to one off boutiques selling beautiful homewares, clothing, hats and flowers. There’s also two pubs, a wine bar and, if you stroll the length of the street, you’ll be rewarded with good coffee and food at Paddington Alimentari. From here it’s a short walk to Five Ways or loop along Paddington Street to see some of Paddington’s most impressive terrace houses.
Each October William Street hosts the William Street Festival where locals reclaim the street for a day of music, food, art and shopping.
